About
The Standley Spectrum is a publication written by Standley Middle School’s Journalism class. Journalism is a semester-long elective class offered during period 4 to students in grades seven and eight. We are a “Service Elective”, which means that, while students earn academic credit for this course, they also provide a service to the school: documenting and commenting on events and activities concerning our school in the form of print media. In addition to maintaining this site, Journalism also publishes a hard-copy edition of The Spectrum approximately every six weeks. We are new to using Word Press but look forward to updating consistently with more articles and media.
